Privacy policy
WatrSync ("we", "us") builds water automation and motor-intelligence products for homes. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
What we collect before launch
If you join the early-bird list, we collect your email address. We use it only to write to you about WatrSync's launch, pricing, and availability. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address from the list.
What the product will collect
Once installed, a WatrSync system processes:
- Device telemetry — tank levels, pump run events, and the motor's electrical parameters (current, voltage, power factor), used to automate your water, protect your motor, and show you your own history in the app.
- Environmental readings — from the rooftop sensor (such as temperature, humidity, and air quality), shown to you and usable in aggregate as described below.
- Account basics — your name, contact details, and installation address, used for setup, support, and warranty service.
Your home's data belongs to you
Network-level insights — such as groundwater maps or air-quality maps — are built only from anonymized, aggregated signals that cannot be traced back to your home. We never sell personally identifiable data.
Storage and security
Data is stored on servers located in India and protected with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Write to us at hello@watrsync.in and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will post the new version here and, where required, notify you by email before the change takes effect.
